How can I edit playlists and songs?

How do I make a new playlist?
Long-click any song, artist, or title in the list. Select “Add…” to add to playlist, then select “New…” to create a new playlist.
Will Cloudskipper have landscape mode / sideways view?
Yes, that’s part of the next release.
Does Cloudskipper work on Tablets?
Yes it works fine, but we’re working on a tablet UI right now.
How can I use music via folders?
We’ll work on folder playback & management features after the layout update.
What about an EQ?
Cloudskipper has EQ functionality for Android 2.3+ devices. Android 2.2 and earlier didn’t include the AudioFX library, so a separate DSP library (such as FFmpeg) would have to be used and will take a while to implement.
What about sync and streaming? Or a desktop player?
That’s actually what we started on form the beginning. Most of that works but it’s not finished. After launching Cloudskipper on Android we discovered we need to cover essential mobile features first.
We need more, better widgets!
Once we get HD Widgets out the door, we’ll add more Cloudskipper widgets.
Will you add an album artwork finder? Last.fm Scrobbling?
While these feature are important, there are free Android apps that can do that. We recommend you use Cover Art Grabber and Simple Last.fm Scrobbler until we can catch up.

What about an online music search & download feature?
We’re not interested in that. We did something similar with our previous project, Mixwit. That feature almost got us into trouble and we had to shut down. We don’t want to go through that experience again.
Why does the lock screen take a long time to show up?
Google does not provide an official API for us to replace the lock screen. We’re doing our best to hack around it by doing some clever things, but unfortunately it will always be a little slow until Google provides developers with the tools to do this the right way.
Why do you need so many permissions?
Most of the features we have planned for this year require permission (auto-sync, streaming). We even had to ask for camera permissions so we could have a camera shortcut on the lock screen. It’s easier to ask now than later, and changing permissions midway stops auto-updates from happening.
Why “Cloudskipper”?
We started Cloudskipper a few years ago. Originally, it was supposed to be like Boxee and make it easy to access and play all of your cloud media services in one place. Now we’re looking at it as a way to fly among your cloud media services and/or skip them and host your own.
What’s with the airplane logo?
When I first thought of the term Cloudskipper, I expected it was an existing brand of airplane, so it just stuck for us visually.
Is Cloudskipper free? Really?
Yes it’s free. It will always be free, without ads.
How will you make money?
We’ll do paid apps on the side. Our first is HD Widgets.
